Thinking bigger about operations
The network’s second annual Empowering Excellence Conference takes place in London on 1 October, bringing together operations professionals from different industries and geographies.
Danielle Cornelissen, Founder and CEO of 5 ELK, will be the closing keynote speaker. Her session, Thinking Bigger: the global opportunity for operations, will challenge operations managers to consider the broader strategic role they can play within their businesses.
Operations teams are often the people who keep everything moving. They spot the gaps, solve the problems and make things happen behind the scenes. But when operations leaders are constantly pulled into the weeds, there is less time available for strategic thinking, improvement and growth.
Danielle will share practical advice on how operations managers can step back from the day-to-day, create greater ownership across their teams and contribute more strategically to the future of their businesses.
Celebrating excellence in operations
The conference will also include the BOMS Excellence Awards, recognising the individuals and businesses making an outstanding contribution across operations, leadership, innovation and client experience.
We are delighted that our own General Manager, Danielle Carey, has been shortlisted for an Excellence Award. The winner will be announced at the conference, and we are incredibly proud to see Danielle’s contribution recognised in this global forum.
